Copa Torontel

Small 0,5 hectares vineyard located in Alto Magdalena, Coelemu, Itata Valley. Dry farmed and no rootstock. High slope of 45 degrees, on the slope of a hill in the Coastal Range in Itata, 28 km away from the Pacific Ocean.

Grapes were pressed with a full bunch and the juice was placed in a stainless steel tank. After two days of decanting, grape must and selected lees were transferred into another steel tank, where it slowly fermented. Wine is aged for twelve months in stainless steel tanks, and it was kept in bottles for five months before commercialization.

Pale golden colour. Expressive aromas of white fruit, such as pear, apple, custard, apple and melon; floral tones that evolve into dry herbs. In mouth is structured, elegant, with flavors of pear and herbs with citrus notes, medium acidity that gives it freshness and a long finish.

Copa Semillon

Small 120 years old vineyard located in Güarilihue, Itata Valley. Bush trained, dry farmed and no rootstock. Granite rock soil with moderate amounts of quartz.

Grapes were pressed with a full bunch and the juice was stored in a stainless steel tank. After two days of decanting, grape must and selected lees were transferred to 300 It french oak barrels, where it fermented. We age Semillón for fifteen months in new and old french oak barrels, and it was kept in bottles for five months before commercialization.

What does this wine taste like?

Wide range of aromas, such as honey, peach, green herbs, dried fruit and gunpowder. It is a structured Semillón, medium body, mineral and a saline touch on the palate. A balanced and complex wine with a long and elegant finish.

Copa Mezcla Tinta

Wide range of lands in the Itata Valley, cultivated above granitic soils in the slopes of the Coastal Range. Old vines between 40 and 150 years old. Dry farmed, no rootstock and trained gobelet.

Grapes were destemmed and stored in raulí wood open tanks, where slow alcoholic fermentation took place during 15-22 days, with soft pumps overs, avoiding over-extraction. Malolactic fermentation and aging in stainless and steel tanks old oak barrels for 18 months.

Elegant and complex wine, with long and pleasant finish that delivers a wide range of red fruits, wild herbs, and a rainforest note reflecting a typicality of a unique area as Itata.

Copa Cinsault

Located in Florida, Itata Valley. 80 years old vines over granitic soils with 10% slope in the Coastal Range. Dry farmed, no rootstock and trained gobelet.

Grapes were destemmed and stored in raulí wood open tanks, where it slowly fermented for 20 days, with gentle pump-overs to avoid over-extraction. Malolactic fermentation and aging in concrete tanks and old french oak barrels and stainless steel vats for 18 months. Finally, wine is aged and bottled for 6 months before being commercialized.

Bright ruby red colour, red fruits aromas, raspberry and strawberry, with a floral touch and hints of rainy forest floor. Soft tannins palate and a good structure that keeps the wine fresh, complex, with typicity and pleasant finish.
